It's Bilal, B., Billy. I like chocolate. I like food, basically. Other than that, I like spending time on the internet, watching movies, tv shows, football and cricket matches. Nowadays, trust me or not, I'm trying to spend some time in the gym - although, mostly, it's just a train of thought.

Truthfully, I just think that learning new things is essential, because trying and failing is (almost always) a guaranteed learning experience. That being said, I like setting the bar high, and taking risks.

Most people think of me as a relaxed guy. I'll have a laugh at what not. Naturally, people tend to go by first appearance, and I have a somewhat static/neutral face expression, but that's all lies man. I'd like to think that I'm precise, creative, supportive, loyal, love to have fun but also work hard. I get energy from taking on challenges. I love silly pranks and jokes. Sometimes I'm a bit busy and sometimes, well, I have migraine. By the way, these are loads of "I's". Sigh, I don't know, I don't like talking about myself, it's a bit awkward, don't you think?

  1. 2018 building awesome brands @ gracious

    Build awesome brands by implementing (headless) solutions through REST API's and GraphQL for e-commerce, normal websites and landingpages.
    Keywords: React, JSX, styled components, CSS in JS, PropTypes, Redux, REST API's and GraphQL.

  2. 2017 - 2018 Coop Supermarkten

    Worked on `Store Selector` (which is now LIVE on www.coop.nl on the cart page). Also on the `Kerstbestelservice`.
    Keywords: jQuery, AJAX calls, REST API's, Pattern Lab, Mustache, Angular 2+, ES6, TypeScript

  3. 2016 - 2017 Wolters Kluwer NL/UK

    Worked primarily on bug fixing and implementing additional features.
    Keywords: Gulp, swig, JavaScript OOP, Promises, Scrum, Git, Gitflow Workflow, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence

  4. 2012 - 2016 Communication & Multimedia Design

    @ The Hague University
    Studied Interaction/User Experience Design. Did some minors: Computer Science, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, UX Design. My thesis was about making the web fun for people with a visual impairment (in this case: blindness)!
